Margarete Häusler studied textile and surface design at Art School Berlin-Weißensee. First of all she worked as a trained modeller for ceramics with porcelain. However, she soon found that material to be too cool, too stiff and too predefined for the clean, white shape. Playing with haptics, materiality, colours and patterns captivated her senses in dealing with textile materials.
